Point out that the oxycontin epidemic was caused by greed and regulatory capture and everyone nods in agreement but suggest greed motivates the industry more generally and it's time for ad hominems.
- edmundsauto 3y agoThe difference is there is concrete evidence about the oxycontin epidemic being caused by greedy negligence at best. I don't think we have seen evidence of that w/r/t vaccinations. Pointing at one incentive and using it to label an entire industry is not of the same caliber of insight.
- gloryjulio 3y agoHaven't seen unnecessary and addictive covid vaccines yet
- talldatethrow 3y agoDon't need to be addictive if they are mandate to keep your job. Unnecessary is up to you.. it's been shown that you still get and transmit covid just as easily after the vaccine. So unless you were in a high risk category for death from covid, was it necessary?
- CyberDildonics 3y agoit's been shown that you still get and transmit covid just as easily after the vaccine Absolute nonsense. https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2022/12/424546/covid-19-vaccines-prior-infection-reduce-transmission-omicron https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2022/12/424546/covid-19-vaccines-p... https://www.cleveland.com/resizer/wQkRVy7FUq2G5Cnl1EPz8OgRNr0=/800x0/smart/cloudfront-us-east-1.images.arcpublishing.com/advancelocal/S5YPESIJXNHQVMFSRSRFSRSVJ4.jpeg https://www.cleveland.com/resizer/wQkRVy7FUq2G5Cnl1EPz8OgRNr... So unless you were in a high risk category for death from covid, was it necessary? More nonsense. I will show you with actual information: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/united-states-rates-of-covid-19-deaths-by-vaccination-status https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/united-states-rates-of-co... https://www.axios.com/2021/10/18/cdc-data-unvaccinated-coronavirus-deaths https://www.axios.com/2021/10/18/cdc-data-unvaccinated-coron... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FN6AdgVXEAUm_W2.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FN6AdgVXEAUm_W2.jpg
- talldatethrow 3y agoThe rate of transmission fell 11% for each booster........ Great. So basically 90% of transmission were still going on. So all you have to explain is a 11% fall over a decently large span of time, during which most transmission of covid were still happening. Sounds like a clear example of natural immunity building due to the vaccinated crowd still transmitting anyway. This stuff is getting comical. Your second graph.. "cases OR deaths". Quality science.
- CyberDildonics 3y agoI guess this is where you back peddle. Sounds like a clear example of natural immunity building due to the vaccinated crowd still transmitting anyway. You are basing this on nothing. You linked nothing, you have no evidence of any kind. You are hallucinating what you want to believe. Your second graph.. "cases OR deaths". Quality science. One of many graphs that I linked. You said: So unless you were in a high risk category for death from covid, was it necessary? Of course it was, you can tell by the overwhelming amount of evidence out there, some of it I linked here. https://images.jifo.co/2547186_1625656875106.png https://images.jifo.co/2547186_1625656875106.png There is a huge spectrum in the severity of an infection. Vaccines reduce the severity and duration of everything. Some people can test positive without symptoms. You would know this if you cared about being informed of reality. Let's see where you get your information.
- talldatethrow 3y agoYou don't need a link to process and understand what I said about the 11% reduction for every dose. Think a little. Time passes between doses. Even your own study shows the doses only reduce transmission a little. This transmission are occuring as time goes by. Thus if you check later doses against earlier, yes you'll see a reduction in transmission. Because tons of people were spreading it. You could have done this study with chocolate chip cookies over time and said "yes, 6 months of eating cookies reduces covid transmission by 11%"
