Would have liked to see graphs of temperature variability at the brew head on a machine with and without a PID
- Conasg 3y agoI got a bit suspicious it was at least partly AI-written. If it is, I don't judge.
- ghughes 3y agoBecause the author is ChatGPT.
- imtringued 3y agoI was surprised by the lack of content and strong adherence to the title and suspected as much.
- Nextgrid 3y agoThe whole site is a dumpster of SEO spam and affiliate links for probably trashy products (hint: if the product was any good you wouldn't need to be paid to promote it).
- phreeza 3y agoMeasuring at the group head is the critical part here, as opposed to at the boiler, because in most machines there is a lot of thermal mass which will actually equalize temperature fluctuations that happen on the scale of seconds or minutes. This means the effect of having a PID is less about smoothing out the short term fluctuations and more about the ability to set the average temperature
