- willywanker 3y agoAt the time Mozilla claimed that according to their telemetry, not many people used RSS and live bookmarks, so they trashed the feature altogether. They could've at least kept feed detection and then let the user decide what feed reader app/service to use. Anyhow - Pale Moon retains both features and for the weirdos who hate RSS for some reason, there's an about:config toggle to hide the feed detection icon altogether.
- marcosdumay 3y ago> for no reason at all It was buggy and in a format that was almost useless. If you complained about losing the RSS reader on the Mozilla to Firefox transition, then yeah, that was a loss. But the FF one was never an option.
- toastal 3y agoI used to use Fx’s Live Bookmarks all the time back when it was still around. It made sense in organizing ones bookmarks to also have feeds.
- superkuh 3y agoI'm not talking about the display of RSS. I'm talking about the little icon that shows when a URL has a feed set in it's HTML head section. Rather than having to go in and look at the source by manually.
