Twitter was caught throttling competitors and news services
- paulpauper 3y agoI don't think it fully dawned on people the implications that twitter is private and owned by one person alone. Elon can do whatever he wants, without accountability to a higher power. It's his personal fiefdom now. He cannot be voted out. There is a reason a lot of companies stay private when they can go public at a higher valuation, which is total control and no accountability to shareholders.
- renewedrebecca 3y agoI think what people are getting at is that Elon made a lot of noise about fairness and free speech, but in the end he really cares about neither of those things. Shocking, I know.
- jerojero 3y agoBut those are exactly the issues people brought up when twitter was being sold to a single individual? I guess we hang out in different circles.
- Sabinus 3y ago"When asked about these reports, X replied with a poop emoji." I really wonder if Elon has a strategy regarding the deterioration of Twitter or it's just something that is coming naturally following his changes.
