Show HN: SaaS scan invoices and download the invoice information as a CSV file
A straightforward app that was built in under 48h by myself and my brother.
Why?
Collecting invoice information while on a company trip can be a tedious process. It involves scanning documents, inputting data from each invoice into an Excel spreadsheet, and then sending it to the Finance Team.
It's also a pain if you want to collect all your expenses every month, and then analyse where your money went at the end of the month.
So, why not leverage AI to extract information from a picture or PDF and download it as a CSV file? This CSV file can then be used in Google Sheets or Excel Spreadsheets.
This app's objective is to scan your invoices, have them analysed, and download the information in a CSV format. It's as simple as that.
What do you think?
Any improvement feedback?
How should I get more feedback from real users?
I would love to receive your feedback about the app

- ruifelgueiras 3y agoIt is a simple setup. The frontend is NextJs. The backend is Python. We use an OCR framework to get the text out of the image/pdf uploaded by the user and then OpenAI to interpret the data and structure it the way we want. Simple, right?
