I remember there was a lot of stigma for QLC drives, but will these eventually get developed so speed/reliability > MLC/TLC?
- faeriechangling 3y agoNo, because MLC/TLC speed/reliability is a moving target. QLC is taking over more and more of the market every year and will continue to do so though because it’s among other things pretty perfect for consumer devices, offering good enough performance especially with a fat cache in front of it, combined with lower prices.
