- jimmySixDOF 3y agoIt's curious timing that I have stumbled on this story (spun both ways), a Sean Carroll 4hr rebuttal that there is a problem of physics caused by not opening up to new ideas two weeks ago, and Sabine Hossenfelder on YouTube with an episode this week pouring cold water on 'new physics'. I very loosely keep tabs on a thin sliver of popsci so seems like some wider coordinated theorist - experimentalist friction given my sample size. Maybe it's 5 year budget allocation time and I never noticed before but just seems odd.
