Musk's Neuralink raises $280M in funding led by Thiel's Founders Fund
- not_your_vase 3y agoOkay, $280M is a lot of money for most people, but even for Musk? I get it that most of his wealth isn't immediately liquid, but I would've thought that he won't go for other investors getting this money.
- rogerkirkness 3y agoPeter Thiel has quietly become mainly focused on biotech. Most of his board seats are biotech companies, including a few he supported through going public. This investment makes more sense in the context of Peter as pre IPO biotech specialist.
- dekhn 3y agobut thiel isn't a biotech specialist. He's a dilettante.
- catchnear4321 3y agodon’t you mean future flesh host to the machine god? it’s fine. it’s basically the same thing at this point.

- not_your_vase 3y agoSure, it makes sense for Thiel. It doesn't seem to make sense for Musk.
