Devs aren’t allowed to let Apple’s Vision Pro dev kits out of their sight
- taeric 3y agoEasy to think that nothing screams confidence in product like a heavy hand on dev kits... Truth is far more banal, though. This is standard language for similar, per comments on story.
- milsorgen 3y agoCorrect me if I'm wrong but didn't a prototype iPhone get found at bar or restaurant at least once before? This seems reasonable of Apple as I would think many elements of its design would be of interest to potential competitors, particularly elements beyond its internal/custom hardware and software designs. Things that might be more readily ascertained without a complex teardown.
- chii 3y agoif something that is so readily copied from a mere visual inspection, it does not deserve to be protected tbh.
- Shawnj2 3y agoIn that case someone found it and sold it to Gizmodo who tore it down and wrote an article about it. https://gizmodo.com/how-apple-lost-the-iphone-4-5520438 https://gizmodo.com/how-apple-lost-the-iphone-4-5520438
