That is how my university professor made whole semesters hate programming.
An IDE makes the entry into programming much easier and fun.

- xen0 3y agoI think that should be caveated with 'you should try it _once_'. It is more than possible, but for anything non-trivial, it just sucks.
- DontchaKnowit 3y agoUsing IDEs for java or for python invariably sucks, in my experience. Id pick command line over and IDE for anything but debugging any day. Because on the command line it is very clear what you are actually doing- in an IDE everything is filtered through the invented language of the IDE.
