That should help to avoid further drama, and avoid attempts to turn lemmy.ml into something that it is not. But I don't see how this actually solves the core issues - you'd still need someone to run the main instance, they'd need revenue for it. This might take power away from Reddit right now, but does nothing to stop a new company from doing the same thing
