I’ve been using Hotwire, stimulus and bootstrap (tho tailwind would work just as well) to build interactive front ends on top of rails without getting bogged down in over engineering. Hotwire can be used outside of rails. And LiveView is a similar framework from the elixir/Pheonix community (and probably now available for other languages).
