- dekhn 3y agoI figured out pretty much everything he's saying during grad school, my postdoc, and my first "academic" position (Principal Investigator at a National Lab), along with the recognition that I would not ever be a superstar. Dropped out of academia at that point, left for industry, which gave me MORE time to do research and publish, with higher impact, along with higher pay and life satisfaction.
