It's widely proclaimed that Musk is a Russian asset as far as left-wing Reddit is concerned. Musk has been cast into the TDS pit, wherein people can no longer think rationally about a subject. It's all quite comedic to observe. The US Government is de facto in control of SpaceX, so long as SpaceX is so critically important to US national security going forward. It can do what they allow. If it steps out of line, that can be corrected as needed. They're 'free' to operate within those parameters. There could never be a scenario where the company - as is - would be allowed to relocate out of the US; the US Government would promptly curtail that stupidity if anyone at SpaceX were delusional enough to think it possible.
