- Dylan16807 3y agoWell, there is a cost for read requests, but if you're going to point that out you need to give a sense of scale. A terabyte on S3 is $90. If we go with 5MB files, that's 200k requests. For 200k requests, S3 costs 8 cents and R2 costs 7.2 cents. The chart in the post suggests that NixOS is dealing with about 10 requests per second on average. Which is about $10 per month in fees on either service.
