VW unveils the larger ID.Buzz electric van headed to North America
- Kon-Peki 3y ago> Don't expect it to be the people's van like the Microbus was, however. The closest comparable two-row model, the Buzz Style, sells for £63,715 (about $79,240) in the UK with tax included. This is for nostalgic drivers who want an eco-friendly revival of a classic ride, and well-heeled EV fans who want more capacity than the ID.4 crossover can provide. What a wasted opportunity. The EV space really needs a "people's {vehicle}", but all we get are things aimed at the high income brackets. How do we expect EV's to take over???
- qbrass 3y agoIf you want EVs to take over, you need to drastically increase battery production. Even if the cost/kwh was low enough, there simply aren't enough batteries available.
- joezydeco 3y agoJudging by how many problems ID.4 owners are having these days, I'd watch all these excitable reviews with a bit more caution. https://www.theverge.com/2023/2/7/23589260/vw-id4-recall-battery-software-problems https://www.theverge.com/2023/2/7/23589260/vw-id4-recall-bat... https://www.vwidtalk.com/threads/wait-time-is-now-a-year-for-2021-id-4-recalls-at-my-dealer.11506/ https://www.vwidtalk.com/threads/wait-time-is-now-a-year-for...
