Who covers the liability for an AI? The authors? The trainers? Those who deploy it? This, unfortunately, must be answered before widespread acceptance. And hallucinations, gotta keep those to a minimum. We’re having difficulty getting ai to drive. Getting them to keep people alive without misdiagnosing or misprescribing will be harder.

Clinical decision support software has been used for decades to assist clinicians with diagnosis and prescriptions. That software sometimes contains defects and makes errors. Changing the internals of that software to use some form of AI doesn't fundamentally change the liability issue.
