- JumpinJack_Cash 3y agoA true testament to US domination in soft power is that Russia is fighting the American culture wars while they'd have no way of knowing what was going on in the US back in the 60s/70s/80s By the same token the US is not interested about culture wars within Russia, and there are many. Even Ahmadinejead tweeted about Kaepernick and the 49ers, the SuperBowl and the NBA Finals
- nonethewiser 3y agoDoes Russia have a similar divide between conservatives and liberals? I would guess not. Something else comparable? I think the demographic issues, socio economic, and wars probably occupy everyones concern enough that they dont quite have the same type of internal conflict. More survival than vying for political power. The US has admitted Russian refugees. Im sure both these refugees and Americans emigrating to Russia would cite repressive governments.
