Whenever I read or hear “opinionated” I always get reminded of the saying: “opinions are like assholes; everybody has one and all of them stink”.
- NikkiA 3y agoThat's been my experience since I first saw the word applied to programming languages, and I mentally replied 'ok, but your opinion is objectively wrong!'
- matkoniecz 3y agoIn many cases some opinions are clearly superior over others. Compare "war crimes are bad for multiple reasons" and "lets torture, murder and loot and that is fine because they are subhumans". Universal bothsideism is not a good idea.

- supriyo-biswas 3y agoUnfortunately, many people are able to not only justify war crimes, they also see it as a good thing when it’s their side that’s engaging in said war crimes.
- matkoniecz 3y agoOh definitely. It is not easy to solve problem. But "all opinions are equal" does not work.
