- GMoromisato 3y agoI was sloppy. I meant than pain cannot currently be reduced to computation. I.e., we cannot currently write a computer program that feels pain. We don’t even know how to test to see if a program can feel pain, so how can we be sure that it is possible at all? I’m open to believing that it’s just computation, but I don’t think our current knowledge warrants your certainty.
