Federal Reserve's FedNow Will Integrate with Metal Blockchain
- therockspush 3y agoThis is being considered a precursor to the CBDC. States coming out against this(NC, SD, FL) are fighting this in the name of american freedom, but I wonder how many people consider it the mark of the beast.

- flangola7 3y agoThe mark of the beast?
- krapp 3y agoThere's a part in the Biblical Book of Revelations dealing with prophecies of the end times and coming of the Antichrist that describes the government that will be set up under the Antichrist's rule. The "Mark of the Beast" is a sign or seal that will be placed on peoples' hand or head, and no one will be able to buy or sell goods without that sign. Throughout history, just about every new technology related to money or identity, from the serial numbers on dollar bills to social security numbers to RFID chips (to of course secret microchips in vaccines,) has been interpreted by fringe Christians as being the Mark of the Beast. Of course they're always wrong, because Revelations was about Nero Caesar, but that never stops them.
- fwungy 3y agoEven the Bible called for Jubilee years when all debts were forgiven. In the modern paradigm we are all slaves to whomever controls the currency, and there is no off-ramp.
- imtringued 3y agoWe have jubilee years in the form of bankruptcy laws.
- hbcondo714 3y agoHere's the PR the article is refering to: https://metalblockchain.org/news-insights/metal-blockchain-announces-connectivity-to-fednow https://metalblockchain.org/news-insights/metal-blockchain-a...
- daydream 3y agoThis is very unexpected - why would fednow integrate with some random blockchain? And the PR article liked by hbcondo714 is now a 404. What gives?
- duskwuff 3y ago"Metal Blockchain" is actually an Ethereum token which was launched last September, and whose price rapidly declined from ~$1.60 to ~$0.05: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/metal-blockchain/ https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/metal-blockchain/ Given that history, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this press release was partially or entirely fabricated in an attempt to "pump" prices of the token.

- amadeuspagel 3y agoThis seems worded to imply, with plausible deniability, that the Fed is taking "metal blockchain" seriously, and is integrating FedNow with it, whatever that means. But the only source is a press release by "Metal BLockchain". "FedNow will integrate with Metal Blockchain" is a sentence in the active voice, and FedNow is the subject. So what are they doing? Where's their press release?
- imtringued 3y agoThere is no press release and they are not listed as a FedNow service provider.
