Another "one of github's myrad of services went down today where only a fraction of users will be affected" post, another swarm of "you should completely change your companies workflows by adding in the overhead of managing your own git hosting and collaboration tool" replies.

- marcosdumay 3y agoHonestly, inhousing your knowledge repositories is the least you can do to avoid those all-powerful companies from taking everything you know and using as they like. If your knowledge is minimally valuable, you should self-host your git and collaboration tools. If it's not, then whatever.
