Copyright is greed.
- dang 3y agoMaybe so, but please don't post unsubstantive comments to Hacker News. https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
- danlugo92 3y agoIt's succint.
- dang 3y agoYes, but that's not necessarily a good thing when it comes to flamebait. Succinct flamebait often has the most trollish effects, whether that is the intent or not. https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sort=byDate&type=comment&query=troll%20effects%20by:dang https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sor...
- danlugo92 3y agoI wasn't try to flamebait, it is my sincere believe that the whole concept of copyright is greed, just like avoiding regulations, cutting corners in safety etc are examples of greed (all in my humble opinion). Any argument towards my conclusion on copyright would be entirely philosophical but I see your point about trolling is effect not intent but I disagree with it it only stifles discussion and promotes echochamberism (in my humble opinion). Now trolling with intent by all means ban those.

- pbhjpbhj 3y agoGreedy people use it, but the concept at least is not greed in legislative form -- the concept is reasonable recompense for artistic work.
