- jleyank 3y agoWell, when I drive I want to listen to my music and when I'm in a rental car I don't want to screw with software or syncing to a car I'll never be in again. So, YMMV - the aux port was and would be quite useful in the long-distance driving I do. Around town, no need for music. And when I cross into the States, I'm not paying all that roaming for streaming when I have a large-storage set of devices.
- windowsrookie 3y agoI get where you're coming from but I disagree. Bluetooth is great, I can have my phone connected to any rental car in less than 3 minutes. Then I never have to touch the radio again. "I'm not paying all that roaming for streaming when I have a large-storage set of devices." So put the music on your phone and connect to the car radio via Bluetooth to avoid streaming charges. None of the phones I have owned in the last ~4 years have even had a 3.5mm jack.
- longitudinal93 3y ago3 minutes can't be the case for On Star systems where you need to have an account, etc
- DANmode 3y agoThis is a human problem, not a technology problem.
- kadoban 3y agoYou're friends can't share appropriately, but are stymied by the lack of an aux cable? Doesn't exactly sound like a common set of circumstances.
