What is with the "build" instructions?
  • krageon 3y ago
They really don't inspire confidence. It appears to be a single-author project, so at first I thought it may be a learning project. But it's a number of years old, so probably not (anymore). Most of the build instructions were written four years ago, with an addendum two years ago. I'm going to guess when the author just started out they figured out that this "works" and they didn't really investigate it further. If you don't need things to build on other people's machines, such things do tend to happen.

Makes me want to improve the build and submit a PR. Such a great project!

        when you do so, can you force push to nuke the apparent `git add .`? $ unzip -l LibreAutomate-master.zip | sort -k1 -n ... 149180 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/Programs/PostBuild.exe 154624 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.Scripting.dll 160479 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.Features.xml 171171 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Cpp/IAccessible2.h 208748 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Libraries/PCRE/pcre2_match.c 260993 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Libraries/PCRE/pcre2_ucd.c 271114 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Libraries/scintilla/src/Editor.cxx.bak 272397 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Libraries/scintilla/src/Editor.cxx 340172 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Libraries/PCRE/pcre2_compile.c 434780 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Libraries/PCRE/pcre2_jit_compile.c 471552 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/Programs/64/AuCpp.dll 472064 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/Programs/unload AuCpp dll.exe 910716 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Au/32/sqlite3.dll 1007533 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.Features.xml 1008128 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.Workspaces.dll 1214976 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/Programs/Au.dll 1716812 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.Workspaces.xml 1830912 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.Features.dll 1869312 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Au/64/sqlite3.dll 2395888 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.xml 3079586 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.xml 3218432 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.dll 3997184 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.Workspaces.dll 5030912 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/Programs/ResourceHacker.exe 5060096 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.Features.dll 7255552 04-20-2023 00:48 LibreAutomate-master/Other/CompilerDlls/Microsoft.CodeAnalysis.CSharp.dll 52753609 1023 files
