- startupsfail 3y agoEasy. Trace and tax superyacht owners. We’ve been able to do it with Putin. And it’s not like other superyacht owners are that much better. A superyacht ownership is decadence, waste of resources, carbon emissions and being above the law, sometimes including severe exploitation. There is no good reason that this should be allowed.
- jjeaff 3y agoYes, but then we would all have to pay that same tax when we all become billionaires and get our own super yachts.
- deserialized 3y agoI'll take those odds
- startupsfail 3y agoThat’s kinda the point. Responsibilities should be attached to power, not just the freedom to waste resources and build yachts.

- missedthecue 3y ago"It is axiomatic that these people get bored extremely easily. They are panicky and fad-prone and gossipy and move as a herd;" A better title might be "nonsense I choose to project onto a group of people I don't much care for".
- notmypenguin 3y agoHe manages to hit many nails on the head simultaneously. Bravo. Great piece. Fits the contemporary conundrum to a T. Naysayers are doubtless temporarily embarrassed billionaires:)
