This is absolutely bonkers. Billions burnt on research and software that nobody uses, and in the meantime we haven't seen a hardware upgrade for the (consumer) Quest since.
- 1letterunixname 4y agoQuest Pro is out and cheaper now. The Quest 3 is around the corner.
- ricardobeat 4y agoStill it costs 3x as much, and is not really a significant upgrade. No foveated rendering, small resolution increase, no OLED, low-res passthrough. Hopefully the Quest 3 will improve on some of those.
- seanmcdirmid 4y agoI don’t see the appeal of the Pro, If the Quest 3 is a substantial improvement over the 2. I’ll buy it (it would be my 4th Quest).
