Most artists have perpetually recurring costs too: rent, subscriptions to digital tools, food, etc.
- mcculley 4y agoIndeed. An artist should set the price of a piece sold with these costs in mind.
- AnAfrican 4y agoA struggling artist may not be in a strong position to negotiate. When rent or food are needed now, you take what you can.
- clipsy 4y agoAn art buyer should negotiate the purchase price with droit de suite in mind.

- nine_k 4y agoThese perpetually recurring costs are not directly connected to rendering an ongoing service. They are very understandable though.
