Defining it as such, makes it meaningless. Open, in software, means much greater access.
- sokoloff 4y agoMost executives and schoolchildren didn’t know what the hell they were a year ago. Now my middle schoolers are playing with them. That’s greater access by any reasonable measure.
- rurp 4y agoYou could have said the same thing about Netflix a decade ago, but naming themselves OpenStreaming would have been just as ridiculous. Having a popular product has nothing to do with being an open company.
