- thakoppno 3y agoIt really seems to me that to succeed in business in the US one has to skirt the line of legality with regularity.
- dragonwriter 3y agoAt least, to succeed in substantive illegality, it becomes necessary to skirt and even cross the line of procedural illegality to conceal the substantive illegality. Whether substantive illegality is necessary to succeed in business is another question, but it seems to be a common choice.

But there is this proverb that 'at the root of every great fortune lies a great crime' which has been around for long enough that even if it may not be a necessity it may well be strongly correlated.
