Case for nuclear strengthens as first new reactor in decades goes online
- anovikov 4y agoAmerica is not experiencing any energy insecurity, it is safer than it's even been in terms of energy since the dawn of the nuclear era, being in the last 3-4 years, a net exporter of all kinds of energy for the first time since, exactly, 1957 - a year when first commercial reactor went into operation. If someone starts a new nuclear project today, renewables will be ubiquitous and too cheap for that reactor to be profitable, before it's complete. Time has run out.
