- aestetix 4y agoThey even said they had beefed up their servers to meet demand. I guess they need to add even more servers.
- wmf 4y agoClearly they need repairable and upgradeable servers.
- tough 4y agoSite is back (with a warning/notice of it being slow) now
- kouteiheika 4y agoI wonder what exact tech stack are they using for the website? It genuinely seems to me that this kind of a website should be able to handle this level of traffic on a single $10/month VPS, nevermind require multiple servers. But I'm probably just out of touch with how modern webdev is done.
- seanp2k2 4y agoEspecially if they’re fronting it with a CDN. The only things they should be hitting a DB for would be order process stuff and account mgmt.
- deburo 4y agoHah, even the youtube video is constantly buffering for me. I guess I'll wait for a summary article.
- garyfirestorm 4y agothe event starts at 27th min
- cristiioan 4y agoEU servers are still up, but very slow
- dom96 4y agoThat buzzing in the audio doesn't leave a good impression...
- rnk 4y agoJust put up a page with specs, no videos are needed. I have a framework laptop already which has been great, maybe one day there will be other laptops with no fan that are powerful like an apple arm.
- rozenmd 4y agoRegular reminder to cache the crap out of your marketing website and to put a CDN in front of it.
- seanp2k2 4y agoThis. Cloudflare is dead simple to set up, but curling your own site and setting up a redirect to a cached version of your pages is also trivial for anyone who can competently operate nginx / apache.
