- camgunz 4y agoEveryone knows raising interest rates deflates the economy by depressing wages via job losses--that's the mechanism. Combine that with record corporate profits, and you've got a classic capital vs labor conflict. Incredible to watch Stewart wade through the swamp of Summers' terrible misdirects and bad arguments to make him admit this simple fact. I can't imagine what it's like to work with Summers, or idk, interact with him even a little.
