Russia’s pockets of support are growing in the developing world
- wunderland 4y agoMisleading headline which is not supported by the data presented; believing that the US has provoked this war and a desire for an end to the war that doesn’t involve NATO expansion is not support for Russia.
- genman 4y agoAnd who do you think is propagating this misinformation? Your comment is coincidentally very similar to the Russian propaganda.
- david927 4y agoWell, it's now a multi-polar world between NATO and BRICS countries. Certainly people can believe (realize?) that a proxy war is going on, but to say so as a nation, and to assign the provocateur of that, is to essentially choose a side. It would be better to rephrase it as "One year after the start of the war, an increasing number of countries are siding with BRICS." And I would agree with that assessment.
- genman 4y agoWe can also rephrase it as "One year after the start of the Russian genocidal war against Ukrainian nation, an increasing number of countries are ignoring this reality." (and this unfortunately includes too large number of Western nations).

- genman 4y agoSo they want to hear even larger Russian lies? Good luck with that.
- brutusurp 4y agoIt's not black and white, as you so needlessly assert. Please reevaluate your hyper-reductionism. People can be tired of both America and Russia's lies. I know I am.
- genman 4y agoIt is very black and white situation when it comes to Russia attacking Ukraine. Unless of course, if you have been mislead by Russian propaganda, you may have more blurred vision about this.
- brutusurp 4y agoI can see that Russia invaded Ukraine, I can understand the motivation for it, I can understand and assert my sentiment towards it (i.e., I stand with Ukraine). I can understand that Putin is KGB, and has always pushed a message of world domination. I can understand that Putin is not well physically and may be suffering from increased cognitive impairment, which further increases the risk of irrational actions (e.g., nuclear warfare). I can also understand that America is a propaganda machine. I can understand that America is a country whose main export is weapons. I can understand that the US Dollar is backed by China (i.e., China owns majority of US debt). I can understand that US allowed American-internal manufacturing to crumble in order to outsource it to China because it was cheaper and corporations earned huge profits (none of which trickled down to us peasants, mind you). I can see that the US is in a vulnerable position, and cannot afford a long-winded war. I can understand (from well-documented history) that America can and does engage in actions to undermine the integrity of certain systems in order to instigate and 'hurry' an outcome (e.g., formal declaration of war; elimination of Putin; "brute force" campaign to intimidate China into truce). I am not victim of Russian propaganda. I am not a victim of American propaganda. I am a victim of ecological warfare brought about by government and corporate greed. Not so black-and-white.
