Why does ChatGPT make mistakes – a layman's explanation
- jqpabc123 4y agoBecause it doesn't actually understand much of anything. It uses statistics and pattern matching to produce/mimic plausible language but in terms of actual knowledge or intelligence --- it's pretty dumb and really can't be trusted. There is no guarantee of any kind with regard to results. It's a toy whose best use is entertainment.
