Redis vs. Dragonfly Scalability and Performance
- victorbjorklund 4y agoFrom their license: "Dragonfly Business Source License 1.1 License: BSL 1.1 Licensor: DragonflyDB, Ltd. Licensed Work: Dragonfly including the software components, or any portion of them, and any modification. Change Date: Nov 1, 2027" Impressive to have changed the license in the future. Hehe.
- OPoncz 4y agoThe Change Date specifies when the source file changes from BSL to the specified Open Source license. Its always in the future.
- sidmitra 4y agoThe Change license defined is this >Change License: Apache License, Version 2.0, as published by the Apache Foundation. >Effective on the Change Date, or the fifth anniversary of the first publicly available distribution of a specific version of the Licensed Work under this License, whichever comes first, the Licensor hereby grants you rights under the terms of the Change License, and the rights granted in the paragraph above terminate. Not the OP, but i didn't know this was a thing.
- victorbjorklund 4y agoOh. Cool. I learned something new.
- worldsoup 4y agoya this is a new common licensing pattern used by a lot of database companies (cockroach, red panda, etc.)
- KomoD 4y agoI wouldn't trust this since the benchmarks are from Dragonfly
