- nessus42 4y agoThe Diamond Age is my favorite novel of all time.
- dhc02 4y ago... except for that one scene.
- nkohari 4y agoI feel like this describes every Stephenson book I've read, Snow Crash among them.
- kadoban 4y agoHmm, what's the bad scene in Snow Crash?
- block_dagger 4y agoHidden needle
- Gordonjcp 4y agoWhich one?
- jerrygenser 4y agoFrom earlier threads on hacker news it motivated me to read snow crash. However the book was very difficult to finish. I literally used spark notes to finish it, it got so long in the tooth and boring towards the end. Is it just me? I like books like the three body problem that are entertaining but snow crash was like a much much worse version of the da Vinci code with some VR thrown in.
- number6 4y agoFor me it was the middle part. The end catched me again. Da Vinci Code was released after Snow Crash and VR was different in 1993.
