I like the idea of UBI, but don't see it working. Think about it this way, whenever the government increases grants for schools, the schools just end up raising prices. I think the same will apply here. Landlords might be more compelled to raise rents, restaurants will increase prices,etc. Eventually, some other party(ies) will find a way to capture that UBI.
