- dustyharddrive 4y agoGPT output isn’t deterministic though?
- uh_uh 4y agoCache a couple of them. Let people vote on the best.
- xwolfi 4y agoIt is deterministic, no ? Do they have some entropy source they use? Maybe it's chaotic like you and me, but it cant be non deterministic, it'd mean it doesnt even really answer questions and just spout random tidbits :s https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_theory https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_theory
- gbear605 4y agoThey use a rand() function as part of the input. I don’t think they have a source of true randomness they use, but it’s random enough for any practical purpose.
- noduerme 4y agoI didn't install it. What's the scam here?
- rvnx 4y agoThe main point of answering to StackOverflow questions is to earn points, points that you can show on your CV :) "Top StackOverflow expert on XX", so the incentive is still there. One solution to spam could be to keep the voting system, but not publicly reward users with points (like on HN).
- xwolfi 4y agoHave you seen people do that ? Would make me terrified to hire the dude "will he be paid to post answers to other companies' employees?" :D
