I'm pretty happy with Azure neural voices. I was able to generate an audiobook from a ebook, and it was great to listen too. Was playing around with balabolka and some more advanced voices, but it just doesnt get the inflections as google/microsoft/amazon can do with their cloud based services. I really just want paste/import and go. And have the system smart enough to know sentence structure, not just generic text to voice.

Have you tried Eleven Labs? In my opinion this is a completely different level from other services. Oftentimes you can't tell it's an AI.

  I could definitely tell it was an AI. But if they keep iterating on it like crazy I suspect the service could step up another notch or two on the quality front.
