The questions weren't about the middle ages. They explicitly specified the US finance industry.
Furthermore, it was perfectly willing to provide "facts without context" for other groups.
- freejazz 4y agoSo? We also don't live in the middle ages and the reality of our lives today is that many people believe in these antisemitic tropes which spread in these fashions.
- DontchaKnowit 4y agoYou're doing the same bullshit chatgpt was doing. Its fine to say white people are overrepresented but for some reason its am antisemetic trope to say Jews are overrepresented in finance. Both statements are factual. No ones being antisemetic or anti white. Just stating facts.
- freejazz 4y agoI didn't say anyone was being anti-semitic did I, let alone chatGPT? My point is that you can't play daft about why chatGPT is doing what it is doing. You can contextualize them as just simple facts all you want, but one is a tool used to spread hateful rhetoric about Jews without context.
- DontchaKnowit 4y agoJust because something can be used in an evil way does not make it untrue and it doesnt make it it inherently wrong to talk about. In fact, I hear anti white propoganda all the time, part of which is the fact that whites are overrepresented in finance. The hypocrisy is insane.

- DontchaKnowit 4y agoI never said white people are favcing a prejudice equivalent to Jews. Thats obviously a stupid ass take to have. Im just saying that it doesnt make sense that chatgpt would just refuse to tell the truth in this instance because that truth could be used as propoganda. And the same argument can be applied to its statements about white people but since white people are on easy street according to the political zeitgeist it will cough up facts about them all day long regardless of how those facts paint white people. Which imo is good, a fact is a fact. Just saying the same thing should be true across all races if we want chatgpt to be a legitimately useful tool for anything other than propogandizing.
- freejazz 4y ago>In fact, I hear anti white propoganda all the time, part of which is the fact that whites are overrepresented in finance. You are the one offering white prejudice as if it was some sort of reasonable response to why chatGPT doesn't participate in furthering jewish stereotypes... not me. It was your stupid ass response, not mine. >Im just saying that it doesnt make sense that chatgpt would just refuse to tell the truth in this instance because that truth could be used as propoganda. Your own question answers itself. It's incredibly sensible why chatGPT doesn't answer those questions. It's not that it doesn't make sense. It makes perfect sense. You might not agree with it, but it makes perfect sense. > And the same argument can be applied to its statements about white people but since white people are on easy street according to the political zeitgeist it will cough up facts about them all day long regardless of how those facts paint white people. Lol and again you basically equivocate antisemitism to "white prejudice" just immediately after you insisted you did no such thing! The white prejudice you talk about is completely made up. Maybe that's one reason why chatGPT doesn't answer those questions the same way.

- DontchaKnowit 4y agoActually yes you literally did in your original comment that I replied to.
- freejazz 4y agoSure, but no one in particular. Obviously there are anti-semitic people in the world, I didn't think that was being debated.
