Swift is great because it's the only alternative to Objective C. I don't really think anyone is clamoring for it to move into non-Apple domains.

- frizlab 4y agoI know I do. Swift is an amazing language, truly.
- Apocryphon 4y agoHow so?
- yAak 4y agoI would love it. Swift is fantastic, and by far my favorite language to write client code in. (Compared to Rust, TypeScript/JS, ObjC, C++, C#, & Java.)
- ianlevesque 4y agoWhy do you prefer it to Rust? I don't have a horse in the race just limited time to learn languages these days.
