I hate tipping. Just tell me how much a thing or service a costs and let me pay that amount. I hate tipping for Uber. I hate tipping for grocery deliveries. I haven't been to a bar in a couple decades now, but I hated tipping bartenders for tending bar. Just include an automatic x% in the price up front, and route that to the service provider as my tip, whether they did a good job or bad job. I can rate them using the app's rating system, tip be damned. > One barista in Colorado told me that he’d watched a customer contort his fingers on the tablet to make it look like he was tipping 20 percent when he was really selecting “No tip”; far from being offended, the barista said he now deploys the tactic when checking out elsewhere. This is a silly dance that nobody likes: at least nobody on the tipper's side.
