Luckily they don't need an office with their great remote work policy. Oh... wait.
- Someone 4y agoTheir policies aren’t exactly written in stone. Yes, on November 11, it was (https://apnews.com/article/elon-musk-twitter-inc-technology-business-0d3d4618a3f4631dfd253ae8798c5196 https://apnews.com/article/elon-musk-twitter-inc-technology-...) “an email to employees from Musk on Wednesday night ordering workers to stop working from home and show up in the office Thursday morning”, but that was ages ago. Last week, we got (https://nypost.com/2022/12/30/twitter-closing-seattle-office-employees-will-work-from-home-reports/ https://nypost.com/2022/12/30/twitter-closing-seattle-office...): “Twitter is closing down its Seattle offices and telling employees to work from home”
- rhaway84773 4y ago> but that was ages ago I’m not sure if this is really well done sarcasm, but the original article is less than 2 months old.
- Sakos 4y agoWith the speed at which Elon changes his mind, I think "ages ago" is accurate even if it was less than 2 months ago.
- dragonwriter 4y agoIts not unreasonable if it was 2 hours ago.
- api 4y agoDidn't they do that trick of pretending to end remote work to make people resign so they don't have to pay severance?
- pas 4y agoan email at night? does that even count as formal notice of new work schedule? WTF
- dbg31415 4y agoIt wasn't that long ago! https://news.yahoo.com/twitter-allow-remote-forever-probably-175300483.html https://news.yahoo.com/twitter-allow-remote-forever-probably...
- randyrand 4y agoTheir old office was sized for a company 5x larger, of 100% non-remote employees. It's way too big.
- mcphage 4y agoThen it seems like downsizing is a great option. But to just stop paying rent... that's not the same thing.
