Are we really so fragile as a society that any offense is worth cancelling the full accomplishments of an individual that, factually, led the integration of NASA and helped the US Space program immeasurably?
Are we that poisoned that we will stop at nothing to erase our past? I myself can point to many wrongs done to my ancestors with a ‘present-ist’ lens - should I be actively seeking to destroy those people and institutions despite any positives?
We all live in glass houses, the last thing we should be encouraging is throwing stones. Especially stones with terrible, atrocious pasts like ‘social justice’.

Naming a telescope, or putting statues in public places, are celebrations. Remembering (and erasing) the past is the domain of textbooks, documentaries, and museums. This isn't about that.
