Some options: ffmpeg, GIMP, Krita, Photoshop (if you enable it in the settings), and the reference implementation cjxl which you probably already have installed if you use Linux (because QT and GTK depend on it).
- johnny22 4y agothe mention of betamax probably meant that you replied to a joke. either the fact that betamax was just dead, or that technically superior options don't always win the market

- Dylan16807 4y agoBeing a joke doesn't make a comment immune to having wrong parts. Those obvious jokes are not improved by saying you can't find an encoder unless it's actually true. Can you explain how that is clearly part of the joke? Otherwise the correction makes plenty of sense. Despite the comment being a joke.
