Can you show us this exponential curve?
- Eddy_Viscosity2 4y agohttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponential_growth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponential_growth
- dekhn 4y agothat's just a sigmoid where you haven't reached the upper asymptote yet
- polynomial 4y agoAll exponential growth is periodic?
- adamsmith143 4y agoDo people really think quantum computing improvement is already on the asymptote of a sigmoid?
- pclmulqdq 4y agoNo, but a lot of us think it's on the exponential-looking part of a sigmoid that will hit its asymptote lower than other people think. At least this quantum computing technology is.
- dekhn 4y agoWell, much of the current field is about increasing the number of high fidelity q-bits. With the idea being that interesting problems will finally occur (IE, a slam-dunk, yes that was useful to know, sort of result that couldn't possibly be done with classical computers) when some qbit threshold is achieved.
