I cannot think of any software that will change the course of human history other than ChatGPT. It is completely phenomenal. I've been completely blown away from the things ChatGPT can do (without the internet) that I think that many companies will be in big trouble and many will be created from it, there is just so many possibilities. But It would be even more transformative if we have an open source model based on ChatGPT, (ChatDiffusion maybe?) Well the paper is there and perhaps Stability.ai is working on it. I believe nothing will be the same again. This is not generated by ChatGPT by the way, my genuine take on ChatGPT.

Its a new programming paradigm. You can turn it into any interactive system. Here I created a person named "Fred" https://softwaredoug.com/blog/2022/12/03/meet-fred.html https://softwaredoug.com/blog/2022/12/03/meet-fred.html As a new programming paradigm, the question becomes, could it scale up to handle MUCH more data and at a faster speed, at high parallelism. Can it be corrected when it gets edge cases wrong? How do you measure and test its correctness? These could be the challenges of the next decade plus. But I agree, what an exciting time to be alive.
