It got to me at various points in me career, working with a leader who appeared to have no empathy. Complaining, requesting change, then leaving was how it went. I still feel conflicted, "did I do the wrong thing, am I the weakling?" I now better appreciate that asserting my boundaries is all that keeps me safe from that kind of unhealthy situation, for me.
