- standardUser 4y agoAds make the culture. Where would American sports be without ads?
- TheRealPomax 4y agosad because true
- Tempest1981 4y agoGotta support those $50 million salaries...
- banannaise 4y agoHalf of revenue goes to the 30 guys who own the legal entities, and half goes to the 450 guys who actually play the sport. I don't think the salaries are the operative problem, although yes, if revenue were to decrease, those would have to decrease too.
- cwkoss 4y agoBit smaller and much less of a net-negative for society, IMO
- hypertele-Xii 4y agoIt would be an ad-less culture, pedantically. Sounds like a win to me.
- tristan957 4y agoThe NBA worked just fine when there weren't ads on jerseys, digital ads on courts, etc. This is nothing more than a ploy to enrich the owners and players who already make boatloads of money.
- amelius 4y agoThis is a good question that I'd like to see answered in an experiment over the next couple of years.
